For the first time in its history, KISSTROYER will undergo
a line up change.
KISSTROYER would like to acknowledge the solid 6 year contribution by
Matthew McKernan as our Paul Stanley . Matthew has decided to step down
in his role as the Starchild to deal with life?s more important facets,
his growing family and flourishing career. We would like to wish him and
his family all the best for the future.
As with life, where there is sorrow there is happiness and vice versa.
To validate this law of averages and stay with the up beat which is what
Rock?n?Roll is all about; we are very excited to confirm that KISSTROYER
will be moving forward bigger and better than ever, with more surprises
set for 2008.
In the meantime, filling Matts shoes, we are pleased to have a unique
marriage of KISS Shows, KISSTROYER & DYNISSTY. For some KISS fans it is
seen as a match made in heaven. For the bands, its a unique opportunity
to work together.
Chris Cutler, the brains and Starchild face behind DYNISSTY since the
90s will be joining KISSTROYER onstage as the Starchild. Chris has been
filling in for KISSTROYER the past few months and done an outstanding
job at that. Chris Cutler is heralded by many in KISS circles as being
the most outstanding Paul Stanley impersonator in the country if not the
world. We are very excited to have him on board and look forward to working
on some huge shows with him.
Catch KISSTROYER in action with Chris at MONSTERS of ROCK 5. The event
will again be held in Melbourne?s most spectacular HIFI Bar and Ballroom

With all the promotion, hype and talk about the Official Paul Stanley
Afterparty it could well have been one of those events which never
quite lived up to the billing.
Judging by the fan response and turn out on the night, and the gratuities
that flowed between Paul Stanley, his band, and KISStroyer, the night
was successful on many fronts.
The party did not get more official than when the man himself, Paul Stanley,
strutted into Crown Live with Doc McGee and the place erupted. Prior to
that the awesome Rockstar House Band were in early to catch the entire
KISStroyer show whilst Paul completed his meet and greets for the Melbourne
leg of the tour.
We can tell you, from the stage it was an almost surreal experience to
see the man himself indulging from the balcony as we belted out God Gave
Rock 'n' Roll To You, Rock 'n' Roll All Nite and Love Gun (after the crowd
erupted into encore mode).
The KISStroyer set delivered some absolute gems and rarities, with fans
really getting into the lesser played songs like Radioactive, The Oath,
I Stole Your Love, and War Machine.
If we weren't already on top of the world after our set with comments
made by a number of people in the audience, what happened in VIP was nothing
short of amazing. Paul Stanley & the Rockstar House Band made quite a
few comments in relation to our band and the show they had just seen -
which absolutely blew us away. It's just an amazing feeling to have your
idols and people you look up to as amazing musicians sing your praises.
We feel very honored and privileged to have been given the right to play
for such fantastic people. Thank you guys!
Huge thank you goes out to our KISStroyer fans & crew, Paul Stanley and
Doc McGee, Crown Live and the amazing crew and staff there (Scrooge, Will,
Carmel, Cam and Col ), George Xiro ?Mokbel? and the Australian KISS Army,
Brad Willets at Music Link and of course the sensational Rockstar House
Band - Nate, Paul, Rafael and Sasha - YOU GUYS ROCK!
Also a big shout out and thank you go out to our friends in BJORN AGAIN.
It was great seeing you, and thanks for dropping in. You guys are amazing!
Next stop: Rock for Kids - May 4th @ Docklands
Friday May 4 is Starlight Day, the Starlight Foundation's annual fundraising
event. Proudly supporting Starlight Day this year is 'ROCK FOR KIDS',
grouping some of Australia's largest tribute shows at the Waterfront City
Piazza, Docklands in a FREE PUBLIC EVENT. KISStroyer (Kiss), Appetite
For Destruction (Guns 'n' Roses), Bad Medicine (Bon Jovi) and Just A Girl
(No Doubt) will donate their performances in a bid to raise $20,000 through
donations and sponsorship to help the Starlight brighten the lives of
seriously ill and hospitalised children.
KISSTROYER, Australia's largest and most successful touring KISS show,
will display an amazing and much hyped about show in its entirety to the
outdoor precinct of Waterfront City. Including their huge light up KISS
logo and stage, authentic costumes, grease paint, pyrotechnics, a plethora
of authentic guitars and all the fire breathing, guitar smashing mayhem
that has brought fame to the KISS name for over 30 years. The band will
be fresh from appearing on Channel 9's 1 vs 100 with Eddie McGuire and
playing at Paul Stanley's official after party in Melbourne.
APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION was one of the most influential albums of the
late 80's early 90's, and the name sake for this equally remarkable Australian
tribute show. Over the past 4 years this band has become one of the most
reputable, and sort after shows throughout Australia. They are known as
one of the most authentic and outstanding tribute bands in Melbourne -
testament to that is the bands ability to attract a plethora of endorsee's
and sponsors as well as playing packed out shows nationally.
BAD MEDICINE is Australia's Premiere Bon Jovi Show. With 100s of shows
nationally under their belt and live unplugged performances on Triple
M this is one show you will not want to miss. George as "Jon" bares an
uncanny resemblance to Jon Bon Jovi. Belting out classics like 'Wanted
Dead Or Alive' and 'You Give Love A Bad Name', Bad Medicine will have
you screaming for more.
JUST A GIRL is one of the countries freshest tribute shows. With a front
lady with as much personality as Gwen Stefani herself, this is another
band that will have you fooled into thinking you are seeing and hearing
the real thing.
There will also be a variety of childrens activities, roving entertainers,
face painters and childrens character's amongst festivities.
Since 1988 the Starlight Children's Foundation has brightened the lives
of seriously ill and hospitalised children, and their families, by delivering
innovative programs that restore the fun, laughter and joy that serious
illness takes away.
Currently Starlight only reaches 'one in three' of the 600,000 child admissions
made to Australian hospitals each year. Starlight's goal is to give all
seriously ill and hospitalised children the opportunity to access and
benefit from our programs.
Every cent raised will go directly to Starlight, not one entertainer or
volunteer will make a cent out of this wonderful event. So please make
sure you donate when you see our volunteers. Every bit helps. If you are
interested in becoming a volunteer or a sponsor of the event, please contact
info@kisstroyer.com for more information.
The event would not be possible without the in-kind help from Waterfrontcity,
Concert Audio, Melbourne Fireworks and all the sponsors and Volunteers
for the event.
Ensure you get down to Waterfrontcity, Docklands (see map) to enjoy this
FREE to the PUBLIC event for a most wonderful cause.
